These udon noodles with peanut butter and chili sauce will treat you in no time. You simply need to cook udon noodles (preferably) and prepare a tiny sauce on the side. To make it, you mix our ingredients and pour the boiling oil over it, which will wake up all the aromas! We bet you’ll love this ultra-creamy flavor pairing.
With a squeeze of lime at the end for a bright note, there’s nothing to change in this dish to please you! It’s impossible not to delight in it or not to adopt it every evening, especially since you won’t need more than 15 minutes to remake it at home. UDON NOODLES WITH PEANUT BUTTER 🍜
Serves 2
Ingredients:
– 250 g udon noodles
– 2 tbsp peanut butter
– 1 tbsp chili oil (chili crisp)
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 green onion
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 80 ml neutral oil
– 1 lime
Preparation:
1. Cook the noodles in salted boiling water and remove them 30 seconds before the end of the time indicated on the package. Reserve a little cooking water before draining and rinsing them under cold water.
2. In a heatproof bowl, pour the peanut butter, minced garlic, chopped green onion, sesame seeds, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil.
3. Heat the neutral oil until it is very smoking. Pour it over the previous mixture to release the aromas (be careful not to burn yourself).
4. Add the noodles and mix to coat them. Pour a little cooking water to achieve an ultra-bright and glossy sauce.
5. Finish with a splash of lime juice and a little fresh green onion!
