Savory Broccoli Brownie: The Perfect Recipe to Share with the Family

As you loved the cauliflower version, we thought we’d share the same recipe with… broccoli! This savory broccoli brownie is really super easy to make at home and, just like the cauliflower and chorizo recipe, we mix everything directly in the dish to avoid washing up. Moist, indulgent and convivial, we bet you won’t be able to refuse a second helping! With a few lardons (preferably smoked for more flavor) and cheddar for indulgence, this recipe is completely addictive.

Moreover, it’s perfect for getting kids to eat vegetables without them noticing! You can share it for an appetizer or serve it as a starter with a salad, for example. And for a more summery version, we recommend the savory zucchini brownie with sun-dried tomatoes, a true delight as well! So, which of our savory brownies do you prefer? Tell us and suggest new versions for even more pleasure!

SAVORY BROCCOLI BROWNIE 🥦

Serves 4

Ingredients :

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 8 eggs
  • 150 g of bacon lardons (plain or smoked)
  • 80 g grated cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • A pinch of fresh chives

Preparation :

1. Finely chop the broccoli (florets and the tender part of the stalk) well cleaned until you obtain a coarse semolina-like texture.

2. Pour into a square pan lined with parchment paper. Add the bacon lardons, cheddar and the spices (garlic powder, oregano and pepper).

3. Pour the beaten eggs over and mix directly in the dish. Smooth the surface when the mixture is well combined.

4. Bake for about 40 minutes at 190°C. When it comes out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh chives and enjoy!
