To make this recipe, follow the steps below:

CINNAMON ROLLS WITH CARAMEL AND PECANS 🤎

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients :

For the dough :
– 500 g flour
– 1 packet of baker’s yeast
– 250 ml warm milk
– 70 g sugar
– 75 g melted butter
– 1 egg

For the filling :
– 100 g soft butter
– 100 g light brown sugar
– 2 tbsp cinnamon

For the caramel pecan topping :
– 150 g salted caramel
– 80 g chopped pecans

Preparation :

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, baker’s yeast, warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg; knead until you obtain a smooth, cohesive ball. Let it rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes under a clean cloth.
  2. Pour the salted caramel into the bottom of a baking dish (or gratin dish) and scatter the pecans on top.
  3. Mix the soft butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon until you achieve a creamy texture.
  4. Deflate the dough, then roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured work surface. Spread the previous mixture over the entire surface of the dough, then roll up tightly into a log.
  5. Cut regular slices and place them directly in the dish over the caramel and pecans.
  6. Bake at 180°C for about twenty minutes until the cinnamon rolls are nicely browned and puffed up.
  7. When taken out of the oven, immediately invert the dish onto a plate so that the caramelized pecans end up on top (careful not to burn yourself!).
