Pasta is life! There are thousands of recipes, each tastier than the last, from the simplest to the most original to vary the pleasures. For this colorful and flavorful plate, we’re betting on the shrimp and chorizo combo, a marriage of aromas absolutely irresistible. Ultra-creamy, easy and quick, these pastas will woo everyone gathered at the table.
They are ideal for a family weekday meal, for hosting friends, or even for a romantic dinner. If you don’t have fettuccine, don’t panic. You can still make this recipe with another type of pasta, but we do recommend long pastas that will cling nicely to this creamy sauce to perfection. As for the chorizo, choose mild or hot according to your preferences. You can even add a bit of chili if you like it well spiced! And even though Italians are against parmesan in seafood pasta, you can of course sprinkle a little on your plate for even more creaminess and indulgence… So, are you ready to treat yourself? CREAMY PASTA WITH SHRIMP AND CHORIZO 🍝🦐🌶️
Serves 4
Ingredients :
– 400 g fettuccine
– 350 g peeled shrimp
– 100 g mild or hot chorizo
– 25 cl heavy cream
– 2 garlic cloves
– 30 g butter
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 bunch fresh parsley
– Salt, pepper, garlic powder
Preparation :
1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water.
2. Reserve a ladle of the cooking water and drain the pasta when it is al dente.
3. Brown the shrimp and the chorizo cut into cubes or slices in a pan with the butter and olive oil.
4. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Set aside the shrimp and chorizo, then, in the same pan, sauté the minced garlic directly in the cooking juices.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and let it thicken over low heat. Add the pasta, the shrimp, the chorizo and the chopped parsley. Mix well and loosen with some cooking water if needed.
6. Serve piping hot!
