Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 2 apples
  • 100 g almond meal
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon bitter almond extract

Preparation

1
Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2
Peel and dice the apples into small cubes.

3
Beat the softened butter with the sugar and almond meal. Incorporate the egg and the almond extract and mix well until a creamy texture is obtained.

4
Spread the almond cream on the first puff pastry sheet leaving a border of about 2 cm. Scatter the apple cubes and hide a fève.

5
Cover with the second puff pastry and seal the edges well. Brush with a little milk and make decorative lines with a knife without piercing the dough.

6
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes so the galette puffs up and turns golden. Let cool before serving!
