Grand Frais launches its loyalty program based on a rewards mechanism
Unlike most grocery chains, when you reached the checkout at Grand Frais, there was no loyalty card to scan. But that is now possible! The chain, founded in 1992 and which today counts around 320 stores in France, has just unveiled (at last) its loyalty program. Designed to boost the checkout total and entirely digital, the program relies on the regularity of purchases by offering numerous benefits to its beneficiaries.
To retain its customers, Grand Frais has chosen a program aimed at turning occasional shoppers into regular customers through rewards. Here’s how it works: a first gift will be offered from the second checkout to validate enrollment in the loyalty program. Then, Grand Frais emphasizes regular checkout visits by offering a product every five purchases of at least 10 euros.
Exclusive promotions and prices reserved for loyalty program members
In addition to these rewards given at checkout, Grand Frais reserves other exclusive promotions within its loyalty program. To start with are weekly “loyalty prices” for members. For example, a kilogram of bananas will be offered at €1.29 to loyalty program members versus €1.99 for occasional customers. These offers will be targeted at the products frequently purchased by each member.
With this fully dematerialized card, customers will also receive a birthday gift but will also have access to a catalog of more than 500 recipes on the app! A “shopping list” feature will be integrated to help you assemble your basket according to your favorite recipes.
