GARLIC CINNAMON ROLLS 🧄🍞

Serves 6

Ingredients :

For the dough :
– 180 g lukewarm milk
– 25 g sugar
– 7 g instant active dry yeast
– 1 egg at room temperature
– 60 g softened butter
– 6 g salt
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 375 g flour

For the garlic filling :
– 80 g softened butter
– 3 garlic cloves
– 1/2 bunch of fresh parsley
– 110 g shredded mozzarella
– 55 g grated young cantal
– 50 g grated parmesan

For the finishing :
– 30 g melted butter
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– 1 tbsp chopped parsley
– a pinch of grated parmesan

Preparation :

1. Mix the lukewarm milk with the sugar and the yeast, then let rest until the mixture foams slightly. Add the egg and the softened butter, then incorporate the dry ingredients (salt, garlic powder, onion powder and flour) until a soft dough forms.

2. Knead for 8 to 10 minutes until the dough is really smooth. Cover with a clean cloth and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

3. Purée the softened butter with the garlic cloves and parsley to obtain a nice cream.

4. Deflate the dough then roll it out on a floured work surface into a large rectangle. Generously spread with garlic-parsley butter then sprinkle with mozzarella, cantal and parmesan.

5. Roll tightly into a log and cut into even slices. Place them in a buttered dish, snugly, and let rise again under a cloth for 40 minutes.

6. Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C.

7. Upon removing from the oven, brush with the melted butter mixed with garlic, parsley and parmesan. Serve immediately!
