Quick and economical puff pastries: the best option for a convivial appetizer

When you’re short on inspiration for the aperitif, puff pastries are hard to beat! Easy and quick to prepare, they’re always among the first to be devoured, and you can imagine many tasty variations. Take a sheet of puff pastry and then add a creamy base such as tomato sauce, pesto, sour cream, or mustard. Then add whatever you have in your fridge! Ham, smoked salmon, sliced chorizo, fresh tomatoes, grated cheese… Finally, all you have to do is roll them gently, cut into small pieces, and bake for about fifteen minutes.

Be careful not to overfill them so they can roll up properly. We recommend placing your filling in the freezer for a few minutes to facilitate cutting (though this is optional). This recipe can also be adapted into a sweet version to finish the aperitif on a tasty note! Our favorite version? A hazelnut spread with sliced almonds, a melt-in-your-mouth delight…
