Crispy-chewy cookie balls? We’re sharing the quick and addictive recipe!
When we saw this recipe, we couldn’t help but remake it at home! And we promise you it’s really worth it. We start with a classic cookie dough loaded with plenty of chocolate chips (a mix of dark and milk chocolate for extra indulgence) then we shape our little balls that we’ll place in half-sphere molds for a uniform result. When the cookies are nicely golden, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, we let them rest a few minutes while we take care of the chocolate shell.
We will simply fill the same molds with melted chocolate, then place our baked cookies on top. A quick chill to set everything and it’s ready! It’s the perfect snack for a convivial afternoon snack or in front of a movie in the evening. You will see, these chocolate cookie balls will disappear in no time… The recipe is really very easy and quick to redo at home, and the hardest part will be not devouring them all at once! The little touch that makes all the difference is to add a pinch of fleur de sel to the melted chocolate: it will melt your taste buds.
To make this recipe, follow the steps below:
COOKIES BALLS 🍪
Serves 6
Ingredients :
– 100 g of soft butter
– 130 g light brown sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 230 g all-purpose flour
– 200 g chocolate chips (100 g dark chocolate + 100 g milk chocolate)
– 200 g dark chocolate for the shells
Preparation:
1. In a bowl, mix the soft butter with the sugar, the egg and the vanilla extract. Gradually incorporate the flour while stirring well to obtain a smooth, homogeneous dough.
2. Finally add the chocolate chips. Shape small dough balls with your hands and place them into half-sphere molds. Bake for about 13 minutes at 180°C to ensure the cookies are nicely golden.
3. Unmold and let cool on a rack if possible. In the meantime, rinse the mold.
4. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it into the half-sphere cavities without filling them completely. Place the cookies on top, pressing lightly.
5. Place in the fridge for a few minutes to set the chocolate. Carefully unmold and enjoy!
