Very soon, The Fall of the Whale (Whalefall) will be released in theaters, a tense story that promises to bring emotion and terror to the depths of the ocean, and with it, also arrives a truly interesting collectible popcorn bucket. This story follows Jay Gardiner, a diver portrayed by actor Austin Abrams, who travels to the coast of California to try to recover his father’s remains from the seabed. With this simple premise, one of the tensest stories of the season unfolds.
During the dive, the situation takes a quite unexpected turn when Jay is accidentally swallowed by a enormous sperm whale while the animal tries to feed on a squid. Inside the cetacean, the protagonist will have to survive with the limited oxygen of his tank, the pressure, the lack of space and the memories related to his father that the situation forces him to face. And with a story as incredible as this, it could not be any other way than that the collectible popcorn bucket arriving with the release would be just as curious.
This Is What the Film’s Popcorn Bucket Will Look Like
With the arrival of the film in the United States theaters, it has been revealed what the popcorn bucket that will accompany the film will look like and that is directly inspired by one of the most important elements of the story. The container has a very special shape, as it recreates the enormous sperm whale that appears in the film and even incorporates a small diver figure on one of the sides, referencing Jay’s situation before being swallowed by the animal.
The design seeks to recreate the experience the protagonist experiences in the story, which is why a section of the back of the sperm whale can detach and function as a lid for the container, revealing the compartment where the popcorn is placed. Thus, not only will you accompany the function with a collectible popcorn bucket and curious piece, you also get an item directly inspired by the story. This quirky collectible item joins the long list of collectible popcorn buckets and cups with a special design that in recent years has gone viral.
How to Get This Popcorn Bucket
For now, the popcorn bucket has only been announced in the United States. It will be the collectible that accompanies the film’s release at certain cinema complexes in the United States. Whalefall will be arriving in Mexican theaters on October 15, but it has not yet been confirmed whether there will be special collectibles accompanying the release in our country. For the same reason, it is not known whether this same popcorn bucket will be available in Mexican cinemas. Although in Mexico it is very common for films to have collectible popcorn buckets, as well as cups and other special products accompanying their release, we do not always see in Mexican cinemas the same items that go viral on social networks. Therefore, it is best to wait for the national cinema chains to confirm which designs and products will be available in the country and whether these will be part of packages or combos, as these are usually collectibles that can be acquired on specific dates and with certain products.
