Burger King Unveils XXL Burger with 5 Beef Patties and 8 Slices of Cheddar for 1,856 Calories

Burger King makes waves with a brand-new burger perfect for (very) big appetites. The chain has unveiled a burger composed of 5 patties, 8 slices of cheddar and 4 slices of bacon.

To satisfy its customers and compete with the competition, Burger King often rolls out new items. This was recently the case with the “Krispper Tenders,” perfect for chicken lovers, and with burgers inspired by regional recipes, which were validated by the chain’s fans.

This time, Burger King has decided to go big by offering an XXL burger. It is the direct sequel to the “Baby Body Burger,” which was released last year and has been improved.

5 Patties in One Burger

This new recipe competes with the largest burger in history. In this new sandwich, you can find 5 patties, 8 slices of cheddar (compared to 4 for the original burger) and 4 slices of bacon. Add onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard, and you get a 661-gram burger, for a total of 1,856 calories.

According to Mixvale, a site specialized in world food trends, this new burger was conceived in collaboration with the sumo world, an emblematic sport of Japan. Indeed, it carries the name “Yokozuna,” which refers to the highest rank in sumo.

A Burger for €15.50

With this novelty, Burger King leans into excess. Note that the individual burger, without a combo, will be offered at 2,890 yen in Japan, about €15.50. This burger unlike any other has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.

“Japan is already a top-tier tourist destination, and this raises it even higher,” “It would take me two days to finish it… and even then!” can be read on X.

For now, the “Yokozuna” will be available in limited edition starting May 1, exclusively in Japan. But who knows, if it proves very popular, it might travel internationally to satisfy the hungriest among us?
