Two-Ingredient Sugar-Free Marshmallows: A Soft, Magical Recipe

2 ingredients only for soft, fluffy marshmallows

If you thought marshmallows could only be made with a large amount of sugar and egg whites, you were mistaken. We’ve discovered a recipe that requires only 2 ingredients: apples and gelatin. The result? Soft, healthy, not-too-sweet, and fruity bites. In short, a mouthful of happiness! No need to restrain yourself from eating more—these marshmallows are addictive anyway…

So to make this sweetness, it’s really child’s play. First, prepare a compote with apples and a little water. Blend everything finely and add our gelatin. At this step, you can incorporate a little sugar or honey, but it’s optional. Then whip the mixture with an electric mixer and wait: nothing will happen for several minutes and that’s normal. After 10 to 15 minutes, the mixture will start to double or triple in volume, you’re on the right track! After chilling, all that remains is to cut into small squares and enjoy!

This healthy marshmallow recipe is totally magical! It proves you can treat yourself without sugar. The apple marshmallows are very sweet and very fluffy, a true cloud of indulgence on the tongue!

To make this recipe, follow the steps below:

HEALTHY APPLE MARSHMALLOWS 🍎🍏

Serves 4 to 6 people

Ingredients :

– 600 g peeled and diced apples (choose a slightly tart variety like Granny Smith)
– 100 ml water
– 40 g instant powdered gelatin
– 1 tablespoon sugar or honey (optional)

Preparation :

1. Pour the apple chunks and the water into a large saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, the apples should be very tender.

2. Purée the apples using an immersion blender to obtain a very smooth purée. Add the gelatin and the sugar to the still-warm purée and mix well.

3. Let cool until the purée is at room temperature (do not wait until it becomes cold, otherwise the gelatin will activate).

4. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on high speed for about twenty minutes (it takes a long time before anything happens, don’t worry).

5. When the mixture has tripled in volume and is nicely airy, pour into a parchment-lined mold and cover with plastic wrap. Let set in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours.

6. Cut into cubes before serving!
