When we thought we had tried every version of apple cakes, we stumbled upon this recipe and how can I say it—we’re hooked now! Half tart, half cake, this fruity dessert is ultra-melt-in-the-mouth, fresh but above all very easy to make at home. You put all the ingredients in a blender, blend and pour into a pan. After a (long) chill in the fridge to set the apple tart, you can finally taste it with some crushed hazelnuts for crunch and salted butter caramel for even more indulgence. MELTING APPLE TART 🍎
Serves 6 to 8
Ingredients :
– 320 g peeled, cored and chopped apples
– 1 apple
– 3 eggs
– 50 g wheat flour
– 400 g plain fromage blanc (or skyr)
– 30 g acacia honey
– Ground cinnamon (to taste)
– Crushed hazelnuts
– Salted butter caramel
Preparation :
1. In the bowl of a blender, place the apple pieces, the eggs, the flour, the fromage blanc, the honey and a pinch of cinnamon.
2. Blend until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous. Pour the batter into a 23 cm ring mold that has been pre-lined.
3. Create a rosette of thin apple slices on top, then bake 30 to 35 minutes at 180°C. The tart should be nicely golden.
4. Let it cool as soon as it comes out of the oven before refrigerating for at least 4 hours for a perfect texture.
5. Before serving, unmold the tart-dessert and scatter with crushed hazelnuts before finishing with a generous drizzle of salted butter caramel.
