The Recipe of the Day: Ultra-Tender and Generous Gyoza Lasagnas
We know it well: folding gyozas is no child’s play. But yet, we all love it… So if you want to change from our one-pot gyoza, today we propose a lasagna-style version that is light and delicious! For making this recipe, we don’t overcomplicate things. We simply alternate wonton sheets with a well-seasoned chicken filling, steam for a few minutes, and that’s it. Yes, yes, it’s as simple as that to indulge yourself for dinner!
The recipe is really very simple and quick to improvise to delight everyone around the table. You can obviously vary the fillings as you like with fish, beef, or even tofu for vegetarians! This original lasagna version also lends itself well to individual ramekins or a large convivial dish.
To make this recipe, follow the steps below:
CHICKEN GYOZA LASAGNAS 🥟
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients :
– 500 g ground chicken (preferably thigh meat for extra tenderness)
– 1 pack of gyoza wrappers
– 4 green onions
– 3 cloves of garlic
– 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce or ponzu
– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
– 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
– 2 teaspoons sriracha or chili crisp (chili oil)
– 1 splash of rice vinegar
– Black pepper
– 2 tablespoons chicken stock
– Chili oil and green onions for serving
Preparation :
1. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken with the thinly sliced green onions, the grated garlic, and the grated ginger. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, the vinegar, and the stock. Season with pepper.
2. Work the filling until it is well homogeneous.
3. In a lightly oiled ramekin, place a sheet of gyoza (wonton), then add a tablespoon of the chicken filling. Repeat the layers until the ramekin is filled, finishing with a wonton sheet on top.
4. Dampen the top with a little water. Steam for a few minutes, until the chicken is cooked.
5. Enjoy with chili oil and green onions!
