CANADIAN CAMEMBERT TOASTS 🍁

For 4 people

Ingredients :

– 4 nice slices of country bread
– 1 Camembert
– 8 slices of pork belly (bacon)
– 1 handful of walnut kernels
– 3 tbsp maple syrup
– A few sprigs of fresh parsley

For the garlic butter :
– 50 g semi-salted butter, softened
– 7 sprigs of parsley
– 2 garlic cloves, peeled and with the germ removed
– A pinch of pepper

Preparation :

1. Prepare the garlic butter by mixing the softened semi-salted butter with the chopped garlic, the chopped parsley, and a pinch of pepper until you obtain a smooth, pomade-like consistency.

2. Generously spread the garlic butter on the slices of bread, then place slices of camembert. Bake until the bread is nicely toasted and the camembert is runny.

3. In the meantime, grill the slices of bacon in a very hot skillet until they are nicely crispy. Set aside.

4. In the same pan, caramelize the walnuts with maple syrup for 1 minute. Add the grilled bacon to the pan to coat it with maple syrup.

5. Place the bacon with maple syrup and the walnuts on top of the camembert toasts. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and enjoy immediately!
