Michelin-Starred Chef David Gallienne Imagines a Gastronomic Experience 50 Meters Above Ground

On June 26, 27 and 28, rise to new heights to mark the centenary of Claude Monet’s passing! Throughout this exceptional weekend, experience a unique fusion of gastronomy and contemporary art while being suspended 50 meters above the ground. A timeless moment offered by star chef David Gallienne, who invites one chef per day to craft four-hands, haute-cuisine menus. Here are all the details on how to participate!

Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular events of the summer 2026 in Normandy! Head to Giverny, a small commune known worldwide thanks to Claude Monet’s paintings, where he lived from 1883 until his death in 1926. The artist also painted some of his most famous works there, notably his Nymphéas series! And on the occasion of the centenary of the painter’s death, star chef David Gallienne, who runs Le Jardin des Plumes restaurant in Giverny, will propose an incredible experience. The winner of season 11 of Top Chef teams up with Dinner in the Sky to offer a moment out of time (and off the ground) on June 26, 27 and 28, 2026!

Each day, the chef will invite another chef to design a three-course, four-handed menu, served at lunch and dinner, more than 50 meters high. Two sessions will be offered each day so guests can be wowed visually and by their taste buds. For this high-flying experience will not be purely gastronomic. Indeed, it will be an opportunity to discover the ephemeral artwork created by contemporary artist Saype, visible only when you rise to height. Afternoon ascents will also be offered to allow the public to see this new fresco.

The suspended interlude above Giverny not to miss this weekend

Between Michelin-starred gastronomy, contemporary art and an aerial experience, Giverny is the must-visit destination on these 26, 27 and 28 June! This Friday, the chefs from Le Jardin des Plumes restaurant, David Gallienne and Cyril Boulais, will propose a unique three-course menu, for lunch and dinner (two services each time). On Saturday, it will be the turn of star chef Alan Geaam (Alan Geaam restaurant, 1 Michelin star) to imagine a four-handed menu with David Gallienne. Finally, star chef Charles Coulombeau (La Maison dans le Parc restaurant, 1 Michelin star, and Yozora, 1 Michelin star) will be present on Sunday to design new plates with David Gallienne. Three chefs for one unforgettable experience that blends gastronomy with textures, colors and emotions inspired by the Impressionist universe.
